Flower pounding!
Now this is a stress buster and you get to be creative too. For Craft Club last month, we had a go at some flower pounding. Basically, you stick flowers to some fabric with masking tape (see this book here for more technical info. and inspiration) and then, using a hammer, you hammer them to death forcing all the pigments from the flowers onto the fabric. It's very thereputic (and noisy) tapping away and then peeling off the flowers to see what's happened. With my finished piece, I decided to create a picture and added applique and beads but you can paint or embellish the work how you want, it just can't be washed.

Oh that's gorgeous... What a wonderful idea. Thanks RR. I'd certainly like to give that a go myself. Especially at the end of a particularly busy week. The prettiest stress-buster I've ever seen... xx
You should have a go CB. It need no specialist equipment and is cheaper than therapy! x
