I'm so happy to have been picked by @dashwoodstudio to create a design for this collaborative collection, Cool for Cats. The six of us had to use the same colour palette but apart from that it was up to us to create pussycats of our choice. To have my design snuggled next to designs by such wonderful designers is just THE best! By the Seaside

It's been sunny (and now it's raining again) which puts me in mind of our childhood holidays at the UK seaside. They were a mix of noisy seagulls, an ice cream EVERYDAY, making sandcastles on the beach and dodging the rain. They were fab even though I had to tolerate two weeks of close proximity with my brother! It was rarely hot enough to go in the sea but we did because we were kids, we didn't care that our lips had gone blue. This little collection of repeats represents ye olde days and is available for license now.

I've got all my family coming for lunch today. I'm really looking forward to it but my husband is away so I'm sorry the loo won't be clean, the floor will need a sweep and I'm buying the quiches but it's Mother's Day so I'm not doing it - just saying!

International Women's Day

I'm thinking of the strong women through history who've fought inequality to contribute to society and make a life regardless of being told they can't or mustn't and those who fought so that I may have rights. I'm thinking about all the strong women I know, my lovely friends and family who are all a great support to me and have encouraged me to live the life I want to regardless of my gender. But most of all I'm thinking of my mum who showed me it's OK to be strong, to speak up and to be independent.

Happy St Val's Day!

If you celebrate it that is : ) We just celebrate it as a day of love and affection for everyone, not just smug couples. We went to Ikea for a family St Val's meal, it was very quiet, it was fab!
