Workshops

For the last year I've been teaching workshops. I got sick of being by myself and working alone so decided to get out and about and share my love of creativity by teaching folk to sew and make. I still have my day job of creating art for many different wonderful clients but it's so nice to be able to get out and meet folk and hopefully inspire others to create.

Coiled bowls

I went to a fab. workshop last week and learnt how to make a fabric coiled bowl. It's quite fiddly but if you have a sewing machine, some scraps of fabric and some cotton washing line then you could have a go. See here for books on how to make a lots of great coiled things.

I treated myself to a FABULOUS Linda Miller workshop yesterday, a day of sewing, fantastic!  Linda generously shared lots of sewing secrets, showed us tons of her lovely work (see example above) and taught us many new embroidery techniques.  I was reminded how much I love free machine embroidery, something I haven't done for ages and ages. We spent a day with Linda and we all pretty much completed a design so a very satisfying day all round! Thanks Linda for a fantastic day and for being a very patient teacher.
