I've been wanting to do cacti prints for ages. I've finally got round to doing some sketching and planning of  ideas. My mum and dad have a cactus which they inherited and from my grandmother and I think she'd had it for years. I always remember being intrigued by it as a child and a bit frightened of all  those hidden spikes.  Apparently some species of cactus can live for up to 300 years! I just googled that; )

New Birthdays calendar

It was really great to see that Jodds have created a birthdays calendar with some of my designs from the  "Little Sew and Sew" card range. Cute hey!

Snooping in friends houses and discovering lovely colour ideas...

Gorgeous, sparkly new product : )

I love my job and when you get lovely, yummy, sparkly gorgeous products that you've designed in the post I love what I do even more. This range is called Ooh La La and is published by Cherry Orchard publishing. The colours are great, the flitter (makes them hard to photograph - sorry) is perfect and the occasion cards even have an inner leaf making them extra spesh. Happy days : )

Long hot summer?

A friend told me today about an old wives tale that says if it rains on St Swithin's day (July 15th), it will rain for the next 40 days in succession, and a fine 15th July will be followed by 40 days of fine weather. She was amazed I had never heard of this tale. It was nice on Wednesday so here's to hoping for a fabulous hollibobs as my kids break up next week : )

Mad Hatters Tea party

My mum treated me to tea at a local hotel - yey! It was all mis-matched crockery, Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee nestling in the table decorations, tea pots and beautiful tea plates at our mad hatters tea party. My mum and I scoffed cucumber sandwiches, scones and cakes and drank tons of tea. A perfect afternoon of indulging and nattering, thanks mum...
