Emily - female icons

Sorry, this post is a serious one. I wanted to add a Suffragette or Suffragist into my female icon pics and decided on Emily Wilding Davidson. She was trampled under the kings horse at the Epsom Races holding a "Votes for Women" banner in 1913. Her death was to galvanise male political support for the movement and women achieved the vote in 1918.  Out of all the women I have depicted I think she is the one I have most respect and gratitude for. It's because of her that I have the opportunities I have. Sadly, 100 years on, some women in the world still don't have the vote and equality.
