Bonkers!
I found these in my Mums Postcard collection. They are postmarked 1964. Little static scenes have been handmade (some of the hand making looks a bit ropey) and then someone has coaxed a dog to put his head through a hole in the background to complete the scenario for a photo. I guess the Yorkie was most co-operative as he has the most scenes. Barking mad (pardon the pun) and totally kitsch but brilliant!
The Artist
I wasn't totally sure about going to see a silent movie, but I did go and I LOVED it! It's lovely to look at, has great music, brilliant acting, a gorgeous clever dog, fabulous costumes and much much more. As the film critic Robbie Collin said "Drained of noise and colour, The Artist might just be moving pictures, but pictures are seldom as moving as this one." Watch the trailer here, it will make you want to book you ticket and grab your popcorn, this is definitely a big screen treat.

BBC Radio 6 Music
What to you listen to while you work or do you like silence? I am a massive fan of 6 Music and listen to that most days. It's amazing how music can help the creativity flow. I love the Radcliffe and Maconie show on at 1pm Mon-Fri. They are laugh out loud funny, play some fab. tunes and know so much about the music biz. Check it out here if you haven't already discovered it.

Squirrels have the right idea..............
....... they don't Do Winter. It's freezing here in the UK, so snuggle up warm everyone (unless you are in the southern hemisphere in which case send us some sun, pretty please!).

Happy Birthday David Bowie!
What a great artist, innovator and talent. Thanks Mr Bowie for the music and happy 65th birthday!
PS: I have just seen on the freckleface blog that it's Elvis' birthday today too. He would have been 77 and still rockin' I expect!
