At
Craft Club we have always admired
Juie Arkells work, so last month we decided to make a papier mache doll in our own style but inspired by Julie's use of recycled materials for decoration. We had a great time making the doll (very messy) and then last week we finished them off by dressing them and adding a face and hair. I think mine looks a bit prissy, the sort of woman who would take no nonsense. I like her!

Miss Prissy looks wonderful! And I love her little four-legged companion in the pink scarf. The buttons on her dress look fab. She reminds me of the dolls I used to make out of wooden spoons when I was a kid. x
Well spotted CB, she IS made out of a wooden spoon. Glad you like her, we had such fun making them. Sx
ha! she's fab!!!
Thanks Pop-i-cok, glad you like her. She has got her beady eye on me while I work. x
Oh, she's so beautiful!
(just booked a course at West Dean with Julie Arkell......blimey it's all too much for me) Love her! x
I'm glad you like her Mrs Cheese, I am really pleased with her too. Have a fun, creative time on the course. I have met Julie Arkell once at an exhibition and she is lovely and very kindly shares what she does. Look forward to seeing what you make on your blog. X
