Vintage Scoops!
I saw this lovely ice Cream van recently parked up and serving gorgeous locally sourced ice Creams. The Van is called "Betty" and the owner, Hayley, dresses up in a fab. 50's style dresses. Betty (and Hayley) may be able to visit your event, so if you want to read more about Vintage scoops check out their website.
Don't forget the competition to win Basil ends tonight ............
at 12pm GMT. Basil is getting very excited about having a new home.

Papier Mache
At Craft Club we have always admired Juie Arkells work, so last month we decided to make a papier mache doll in our own style but inspired by Julie's use of recycled materials for decoration. We had a great time making the doll (very messy) and then last week we finished them off by dressing them and adding a face and hair. I think mine looks a bit prissy, the sort of woman who would take no nonsense. I like her!

Competition to win Basil the Dog
I made Basil recently and have decided he needs a special home. If you fancy being his owner then please leave a comment and I will draw a winner on the 27th May. He is stuffed with Lavender, so smells good and is very soft and cuddly, although he is quite small (26cm x 14cm) so could lazy around anywhere. Good luck to everyone that enters!
PS: This is a worldwide competition.

Do you want to give flowers to someone?
If so, you could make these as an everlasting alternative. I got the idea from That Crafty Fish blog and thought I'd have a go. I am pretty pleased with the results. Thanks Kirsty for the idea and instructions. The problem is I am now running out of buttons so I need to buy lots more from lovepaperfish

Happiness
I love quotes and sayings. They can help you make sense of this mad world and can comfort and turn your day around. Action for Happiness is a great website full of quotes and ideas of simple things we can all do which have been scientifically proven to promote happiness and well being. Apparently, for fifty years we've aimed relentlessly at higher incomes and despite being much wealthier, we're no happier than we were five decades ago. Isn't that sad? This is NOT a party political campaign and I know it sounds a bit groovy and preachy, but the site illustrates in lovely posters the main 10 key points to remember in pursuit of a happy life. Have a happy day!
PS: Thanks to my blogging friend, Comfort Blanket who discovered this website in the first place.

Baby Boo and Mama too!
If you need a beautifully packaged gift for a new born baby then "Baby Boo and Mama too" could have what you need. Claire, the owner of the business, lovingly puts together in a gorgeous gift box, a present for the new baby and a gift for Mum. I designed the embroideries and the logo, what do you think?
