The Bear and The Hare
It seems everyone is talking about this ad in the UK at the mo. It's stop motion don't you know!
While the advert itself is spectacular, take a look at the 'making of' video as well here. With shots of the winter wonderland set being painstaking created, as well as insight into the process of stop motion itself, the speedy behind the scenes view is a dream come true for illustration fans everywhere. The talent and creativity used in this short is mind blowing. Love the sweet tune too.

Annali
Well, this is a new thing for me. I may have studied print at Loughborough (we spent hours printing lengths of fabric) but since leaving I have never been asked to design for bolt fabric. So, it was super great to be asked by Dashwood to design a range for them called Annali. Dashwood is a new company who specialise in producing beautiful, design-led fabric collections for today’s quilt and home-sewing communities.
They manufacture craft fabric in the UK with British designers - yey - and I am one of them - double yey! For more info on the range take a look here and look here for an interview with me.

The top pics are my original artwork and the bottom pic is the diary the prints were used for (2014 - you know you'll need one very soon). Super excited to see this in Paperchase today. Thanks Cinnamon Joe who made the sale for me... (I like my colours more - sorry Paperchase x)

Bits'n'pieces
Nice projects for lurverly people and one of my own...
1) Some wedding stationary I designed for a friends summer wedding.
2) A cookbook cover I did a while ago for The Daventry Townswomen's Guild. My mum is a member so I really wanted to help her with the cover. She made a great job of editing and collecting loads of fab recipes - a great fundraiser too. Go mum!
3)Best Made Local branding, posters and flyer design - a makers market I am organising with a friend, aiming to promote local quality makers. something I really believe in and think supporting local business helps our local economy and community. I just need to find time to make some nice good quality things myself lol!

Tilleke Schwarz
I met Tilleke Schwarz last week at Ali Pali Knitting and Stitching show last weekend. I have to admit I was star struck. When she spoke to me I just said "love your work". How embarrassing. She's been my embroidery hero for years and that was all I could say. Lovely to see so much of her work in the flesh though. All photos copyright of Tilleke Schwartz

Tortoises
V. excited to see my tortoise design on Print and Pattern today as part of a feature about fabric rehab. I created the design for Jodds (they have it on cards, notepads, invites and giftwrap). Then, Dashwood studios (a new wonderful UK based Craft Fabric manufacturer) loved it and have licenced it for fabric - It sits in their novelty range. Fabulous to see a design used on so many different things... Please go and buy some fabric here right now, you can never have enough fabric...
