Architects of Air 2
I know I have blogged about this before but it really is worth going to if you have a chance. This time we experienced the Pentalum. It is a celebration of the beauty of geometry, inspired by Islamic architecture, Gothic cathedrals, modern architectural innovators and nature. A 5-sided pentagon shape is the base for the main structure’s elements with the exception of the main dome, which, in order to achieve more volume, is heptagonal (7-sided) in form.
Its really quite magical experience almost other-worldly and it was right in the centre of Milton Keynes shopping centre. Since 1992 Architects of Air’s luminaria have made over 600 exhibitions in 40 countries. From Berlin to Brooklyn, Hong Kong to Hawaii, Taipei to Tel Aviv, Sao Paulo to the Sydney Opera House, these incredible luminaria have enchanted audiences around the world.
